Senior Design Project

As a Mechanical Engineer, I completed a senior design project at Villanova University. My project originated during the Summer of 2019 when I participated in Villanova's Engineering Entrepreneurship Summer Institue for my entrepreneurship minor. During that time I was on a team that ideated the product. We ultimately designed a garment to help alleviate pain due to menstrual cramps. The design needed significant changes and improvements, so I hoped to have the opportunity to improve it. I proposed this project as an option for my senior design project to have that chance. The project was approved and a new team was assembled. After a year of work, an improved and functioning prototype was created.

At the Senior Design Showcase for Mechanical Engineers, my project won two awards: Best Innovative Solution and Best Overall Design.

Working on this project demonstrates my innovation, creativity, and problem-solving abilities that are applicable to the real world. and have the potential to be taken to market.
